Even the very hairs on your head are numbered. Matthew 10:29-31
According to baumanmedical.com–‘You are born with about 100,000 scalp hair follicles to start with, but it varies with natural hair color. Blondes have an average of 150,000 hairs, the average redhead has 90,000. Those with black or brown hair average 110,000 to 100,000 hairs.’ And, according to various online sources, we each lose 60-100 hairs every day. This increases if we are under particular stress, treating our hair with various beauty treatments too often, or change our diet. Nevertheless, if all goes well, new hairs replace the ones we lost.
If we take an average of the three hair types that would be 115,000 average per head. I’m not going to include those bald or balding because there’s a child born every second that will make up for that and those who are dying as I write, their hair is still numbered. So, our present world population is 7.5 billion and if you multiply that by the average hair number you get a number that I wouldn’t even know how to say: 8.625e+14. Anyway, it’s A LOT. So, think about all those numbers and that not only did the Lord create hair in all of it’s beautiful arrays, He encouraged ancient man in the discovery of a numerical system and He keeps track of every single strand. Why? He wants you to know He cares about ‘the small stuff’ as the saying goes. It’s another way of saying that He knows every single thing about you and He watches over you…counting every bit of you as precious.
